The Conscious Convergence–Create the Future
On a beautiful summer’s day in 1987, I joined with thousands of others around the globe, holding hands and chanting prayers of love, light, healing, hope, and connectedness as part of a consciousness-raising event called the Harmonic Convergence. In the metaphysical movement of the time, this was a cosmic biggie. A spectacular host of planets were all in alignment to create a heightened energy wave on which to send out reality-shifting thoughts and feelings. We knew then that positive intention was necessary to usher in a new spiritual age and we have seen much movement in that direction in these past 23 years. Think for a moment of how mainstream psychics, mediums, angels, and ghosts have become. Well, now we are being asked to focus our intentions once more. This time for the Conscious Convergence and as we will see this one holds even more important because it paves the way to 2012.
As many of you are aware, we are nearing the end of the Mayan calendar. There is much debate on what that exact date is, either October 28, 2011, or December 21, 2012, but no one is debating that there will be some major shift in our current life experienced reality. I have never predicted the end of the world and have great ethical differences with those who do. I personally find it irresponsible to send such thoughts into the ethers. I prefer to believe that we have the option of transcending our view of separation from one another and from the creator and that we can live in what is called unity consciousness. We are all one in spirit. According to Carl Johan Calleman, Ph.D. in Physical Biology and expert on the Mayan calendar, this Saturday and Sunday 7/17 – 7/18 is a pivotal time to concentrate our intentions once again in prayers of love, light, healing, hope, and connectedness – the Conscious Convergence. There are several ways that you can participate.
At the website www.commonpassion.org there are many group listings of those who are gathering together across the globe as well as suggestions for other ways that you can be involved. Perhaps you can join with friends or family to create your own consciousness-raising event. Even if you are by yourself, tuning into the energy force at hand with positive thoughts for the planet and all beings with strong intentions is enough. If you have the opportunity to be in nature, that is great. You can light candles, burn incense or listen to inspirational music; there really is no wrong way to do it as long as you have the intention of helping to raise your spiritual consciousness and helping to create a sense of universal oneness with all that is.
Every day we feel our world spinning a bit more out of control. Earthquakes, oil spills, economic uncertainty, and political unrest. Most of the time it all seems so hopeless and we feel so helpless in doing anything to fix it. This is one of those moments when we can and must act to shift the path which we are heading down. I envision a world of light, love, and reason. It is my hope that you will join with me and the many other intentioned folks around the globe this weekend to, once again, open the door for the new age and help to create our future.

Part 2 – Post Conscious Convergence
Namaste and many blessings to all who are reading this. I participated in the Conscious Convergence this past weekend and it was an incredibly uplifting experience. I would like to share with you one of the visualization/meditations that we did in hopes that you will be inspired to guide through it yourself or create your own version.
The theme of this event was to create unity consciousness and erase the lines between us and them, the idea being to shift to global thinking because we are all sharing this earth and experience in this space and time. Joining with tens of thousands of others I sent my waves of consciousness to unite in spirit with elders who were stationed at the four points of our world. Native shaman opened the power portals as we envisioned creating a global tree of life by planting the seeds of love and goodwill, via imagination, in the north, south, east, and west and then in the center. As we were being led in prayer our spirits visited the far reaches of the world to pave the way for truly united nations and for the time when nations become meaningless and considered divisive and unnecessary. What we do unto others is ultimately visited upon ourselves so let’s pitch together and create an Eden once more.
This global tree now planted can grow to nurture and sustain all of us. With roots in many directions, it is now firmly rooted in this earth, for all beings to enjoy. If you find yourself succumbing to the fears of the 2012 doomsday scenario please take a moment to switch gears and embrace the vision of universal oneness, peace & light. It’s always better to be a part of the solution than part of the problem and in this small way, we can help the world spin in a positively intentioned way. These good thoughts will water this tree of life for generations to enjoy.
